Bio: I am widely experienced in supporting individuals in social housing and within communities. My experience spans over 20 years during which I have helped to craft policy, procedures and systems both operationally and strategically. In my work I adopt a multidisciplinary approach and I'm committed to equal opportunities and diversity. Giving everyone a fair chance in order that the a positive outcome is achieved is what i believe in. My specific experience and skills cover the following areas:- Adult Education Resident Involvement [Social Housing] Community Development Charity Governance Customer Service & Satisfaction Advocacy [volunteer] In addition I've held Non-Executive Director positions at local, county and national level. I was very proud to have co-written a Conflict Resolution Toolkit for The Housing Corporation that was considered best practice and adopted nationally. My skills have been recognised by numerous awards including :- Finalist - Woman in the Community 2013 Wiltshire - Dorset - Hampshire Women Inspiring Women For recognition in Community Development, Community Teaching, Social Housing & Managing and developing HEALS HEALS - Community Organisation of the Year 2013 Malmesbury Town Council Awarded for most outstanding contribution to the community. Citizen of the Year 2013 Malmesbury Town Council Finalist - for outstanding contribution to the community Community Connections - Regional Finalist 2011 National Housing Federation - Southwest A Social Housing project nominated for a regional National Housing Federation [NHF] Award Resident Business Planning - National Award Winner 2008 National Housing Federation An innovative project that put residents at the heart of the strategic & business objectives Today I want to continue to empower and encourage people in their lives to set and reach for their goals.
